Guidelines:
Poems – do you have a notes app folder of prior bonus ruckus poems you’ve written on a Monday night? Perfect. Send us that ice cream haiku you wrote last summer, the tanka on hot sauce, or any other bonus ruckus prompted piece under 10 lines.

Artwork – 5×7 or smaller, no specific theme but consider that this is a bonus ruckus roundup and use that context however you see fit.

Please send 1 single submission in either (not both) category as a PDF attachment to zine@dirtygerund.org with your name, Instagram handle (optional) and how long you’ve been reading at the Gerund in the body of the email. If you remember the Bonus Ruckus prompt, please share it.

Photos of prompt-n-circumstance objects are welcome as long as the inscribed poem is legible!

If you used to come around and haven’t been back recently (please come back), yes, this call is open to you too. As long as you’ve participated in a bonus ruckus some time since 2008, you’re golden.

Don’t hit us with a “oh crap I forgot can I quickly just…” This is a super short turnaround to meet the needs of the promotional event.

We will do our best to include as many poets & artists as possible; to help us, please submit smaller works! The less lines on a page, the more poems we pack in.
